Wilco Kersing was born in 1976 and has found his place in the designworld via the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague.

His work is characterized by great simplicity, considered design and use of natural materials but also contemporary. His quest for the essence is reflected in the absence of unnecessary elements.

The furniture designs are a synthesis of empirical research and applied technology, pure and constructive. He wants to achieve more with less to the adage of Mies van der Rohe, using materials in their purest form.

Kersing opposes against the label 'designer´and considers this a fashionable label which does not fit him. He prefers that he simply designs things, things to live with.

He considers this self-evident, as a way of life.
